Formal Dining

Meals can be enjoyed in our sophisticated dining room, which is attached to the bar and formal lounge and overlooks the lush rolling gardens. For larger groups, a separate private formal dining room is available, which houses a single large oak table seating up to 36 people comfortably.

Waterfall Dining

The incredible four-storey waterfall, which is within walking distance of the lodge, is a secluded and romantic spot at which we can arrange an unforgettable dining experience. A wonderful choice for a surprise engagement or a special celebration.

Picnics

Ever popular with families who visit us, our picnics are a hit with children and can be set up in various locations around the lush lodge gardens. Our picnics run throughout the year and are weather dependent on the day.

Private Dining

Guests are always invited to join us for meals in the spacious dining room or gazebo at the main lodge, but there is the option for more private dining in the open-air dining area of your villa. Each of our 6 villas features a private dining area on the covered patio, which seats up to 8 guests comfortably. Meals are prepared by our in-house chef and can be tailored to your tastes and dietary requirements.

Amphitheatre Dinners

For a special occasion, you might opt for an atmospheric dinner in the lantern-lit Amphitheatre at Lejwe La Metsi. Eroded over thousands of years by the rain, a natural boma has been carved out of the rock creating a natural ‘dining room’ under the stars. Eating surrounded by dramatic rock formations, illuminated only with paraffin lanterns and fire baskets is a wonderful way to spend an evening with family and friends at Lejwe La Metsi.

At Lejwe La Metsi, we love any excuse for a celebration. Birthdays, engagements, baby showers, anniversaries, graduations or simply being together on holiday are reason enough for celebration. We would love to help you plan your next big event and help to make it a special and memorable occasion. Our team are highly flexible and are willing to go the extra mile to accommodate every request to make your celebration that much more bespoke and special.

Prepared by our experienced culinary team, breakfast, lunch and dinner can be served in a variety of serene locations. Meals can be enjoyed al fresco in the garden under a gazebo, within view of the waterfall, in our sophisticated dining room, picnic-style on the lawns, under the stars in the traditional amphitheatre, or for a more intimate affair in the open-air dining area of your villa.
